Our Projects

Our team has successfully delivered a wide range of demolition and site preparation projects, from small residential tear-downs to large-scale commercial and industrial demolitions. Each project is handled with careful planning, strict safety standards, and efficient execution to ensure minimal disruption and maximum results. We work closely with clients, engineers, and local authorities to meet timelines, environmental requirements, and site-specific needs. From structural demolition and concrete removal to site clearing and debris management, every job is completed with professionalism and attention to detail. Some of our recent and notable projects are explained below, showcasing the scope, quality, and reliability of our work.

We were awarded the remedial project task to mobilise excavation equipment to site and carry out extensive demolition, excavation, and removal works across the podium level for re-waterproofing. This included removing existing landscaping, vegetation, planter boxes, trees, brick walls, pebble crete walkways, glazed doors, concrete pads, stairs, and retaining walls spanning across 1,131m2. Soil was excavated to an average depth of 350mm in landscaped and garden areas using both machinery and hand labour. Asbestos bitumen membrane was safely removed from the podium level following WorkSafe approval, with full site establishment, compliant asbestos handling, disposal at a licensed facility, and clearance certification. All demolition materials, spoil, and waste were loaded onto trucks, removed from site, and disposed of appropriately. The works concluded with a full site clean-up, with an optional pressure wash of landscaped areas to remove remaining debris. Overall, this project was completed in 8 weeks
AWR was given the opportunity to complete residential demolition works at Abbotsford involving demolition and asbestos removal across two separate residential dwellings located side by side for 2 new duplexes. WorkSafe approval was obtained prior to commencement, and asbestos materials were safely removed from areas including garages, eaves, bathrooms, laundries, and front porches, with clearance certificates issued upon completion. Both dwellings, including garages, driveways, walkways, footings, and piers, were fully demolished using machinery mobilised to and from site. All demolition and asbestos waste were loaded onto trucks, removed from site with appropriate disposal, and the works were completed with a thorough clean-up of the site. This project took 8 days to complete
The completed remedial works at Redfern involved demolition and removal works across multiple balconies (590 m2) and courtyard areas (535m2). This included removing tiles, screed, and membrane from multiple balconies. Moreover, we were tasked to remove glazed walls, glass doors, and internal timber flooring, as well as carefully lifting and removing brick pavers and sand beds found within the courtyard area. Membranes were ground back to the substrate where required, and scaffolding and chute was used to safely lower all demolition waste to ground level. All materials were loaded onto trucks, removed from site with appropriate disposal, and the works were completed with a full clean-up of the site.
AWR was given the complex task with remedial demolition and working closely with builders, architects, and engineers to complete works at Campbell Parade, Bondi. This project involved extensive demolition and removal activities across multiple areas of the building for build and design project. This included full demolition of the entry back to bare, balconies, terraces, planter boxes, and selected residential units. Works included removing stone tiles, tiles and screed, membranes, concrete balcony panels, FC sheets and framing, glazed doors, glass walls, internal finishes, and planter box contents. Scaffolding, mobile scaffolds, and hoists were used to safely lower all rubble and demolition materials to ground level. All waste was bagged, loaded onto trucks, removed from site with appropriate disposal, and the project was completed with a thorough clean-up of all affected areas. Overall, the project took a year and a half.
AWR were awarded the task of external demolition of 250 balconies, metal awnings, labour hire and truck hire across 30 levels at The Sebel, Chatswood. This task was completed over a period of 2.5 years. Balconies from Levels 1 to 15 were demolished using full scaffolding, while Levels 16 to 30 required the use of swing stages due to height and access constraints. Each balcony averaged 25 m² and included the removal of approximately 60 mm of tiles and screed, as well as the demolition of associated metal and glass awnings. Demolished materials were transferred from swing stages to scaffolding, then manually transported down to the underground car park for loading and removal from site. In total, approximately 750 tonnes of tile and screed material were demolished and removed as part of the project.
